CSC - My Hearts on Fire

I was pleasantly surprised to see so many of our girls on the register at the hotel in Syracuse last night! Liz Gibb and I had a working bee with the Convention Team and we topped it all of with a delicious dinner - great company - great chatter - belly roll laughs! A last chance to let our hair down before the hustle and bustle of the weekend begins! The other girls grouped and gathered and went out to dinner at local restaurants! I didn't get to see them before bed but from the posts on Facebook I know they had a good time!!

What irony! Who knew that the next time I would see them would be at 1:30 am - on the sidewalk - standing in front of firetrucks! Yes, that's right CSC ladies, the firemen were here! There was a false alarm but it made the lot of us giggle! We were tempted to break into song - Fire My Hearts on Fi-ire! The firemen were busy so we didn't dare ask them to pose for a picture but we did gather in front of one of the firetrucks for good measure! How apropos - guess what image we'll have in our minds when we hit the stage on Saturday and sing Beautiful Doll! Fire My Hearts on Fi-ire!!! :0)

Facebook is abuzz already this morning. Most of our gals are traveling today!! They won't be alone on the roads - much of Region 16's membership is traveling today too! Drive safe - shop wisely and see you later today ladies! Hang onto your seat belts and enjoy the ride!!!

Despite the rude 1:30 am awakening, the warmth in my heart remains -  I absolutely love this hobby of ours!!!!!
