It's a wrap - and I don't mean quilts!!

Last Tuesday, October 16th, Canadian Showtime Chorus finished recording its CD! We expected one more night would be necessary to wrap it up but we worked smart, we responded to the technical advice of our master sound team and with the guidance and encouragement of our master director, we called it a wrap by 9:30 p.m. How exciting is that!

The experience was fabulous and we couldn't have done it without Joe and John, our fabulous technicians, Janet and her team who transformed our regular rehearsal hall into a recording studio by hanging quilts from the rafters, Sandie our incredible master director whose infectious enthusiasm made us perform every word we sang - without moving a muscle to avoid squeaks and creeks from the risers - and of course, the members of Canadian Showtime Chorus who gave it there all. The outcome is the prize! This is going to be one fantastic CD.

So tomorrow night we go back to our regular Tuesday night routine - quiltless - without Joe and John but with a wealth of knowledge and new information to make us an even better ensemble! The benefits of the last three weeks in the recording studio is going to pay dividends!! We learned so much!!

I'm gonna sound like a broken record but I can't help it - I've said it before and I'll say it again. Oh yay baby, I love this hobby!
