Breaking News! Coach Joe Connelly 'wants to be around' latest chorus 700 Canadian Showtime Chorus!!

It's all part of the journey! Coach Joe is in the house for what is promised to be an exceptional coaching session tomorrow and Saturday! The place is a buzz as the chorus slides off the pages of a new up tune and ballad right into the hands of coach Joe! Both are already fabulous songs - and we had the best learning tracks à la Aileen Carney - so you can just imagine how they are going to turn out once Joe has had his way with them.

The chorus is still riding high from our incredible 'win' at spring contest in May! No - we did not take the gold but we scored our highest score ever, honouring our director extraordinaire - Sandie Nason - by giving her the distinguished title of Master Director 700 - one of a select few in the world! We are so lucky to have her to guide us through this journey! This amazing score of 701, put us firmly in 2nd place wildcard position for Sweet Adeline International Competition in Las Vegas Nevada in October 2015! When International called Sandie to officially invite Canadian Showtime Chorus to compete as a wildcard in Vegas she didn't even say hello - she just said yes yes yes! :) You know how in pageants they say - should the winner decline, the next runner up will be crowned - yea well -- didn't need to have that statement read either!! We are going to Vegas baby!!

New music and coaching with Joe is only the beginning of our prep for Vegas. After a well deserved summer break (cause face it - we won't have one next year!!), we will be coaching with the one and only Erin Howden, some more of Joe and a couple of wonderful coaching sessions with our very own Sandie! Fundraising is key and we have already had a terrific garage sale recently and other plans are well under way. We will be bringing our celebrity live auction, craft fair and performance back in November. Watch for news on a February show as well!

We are so grateful for all of the support of our wonderful sisters in harmony in Lake Ontario Region 16 as well as all of our other friends around the world. Of course, we'd be nowhere without our families and local friends who are there for us every step of the way.
